Architect and industrial designer Shahrooz Zomorrodi, founder of Zomorrodi & Associates, has been commissioned to design a collection of patterns for the prominent parquet flooring brand Omid Haeri.
American-born Haeri invited Zomorrodi to create a total of eight patterns for wooden flooring, two of which are already in production.
“Most of the designs feature engineered oak or ash wood, and aluminium inserts with a stainless steel or brass finish,” says Zomorrodi, who has worked on several projects with the parquet manufacturer. His new contemporary patterns present an original and fresh approach to classical patterns, making them more appealing and intriguing.
In a short space of time, Omid Haeri – an industrial engineer who established his manufacturing plant in Iran – has earned an enviable reputation and is now synonymous with quality parquet products.
“Our brand philosophy stems from our conviction that flooring for a room is more than just a surface covering. To us, it’s a means to convey emotions, to enchant people, and give the room a soul,” says Haeri.
The collaboration between the two design visionaries is raising the bar by providing new creative options and possibilities for wooden flooring.
Zomorrodi collaborates with several international brands, including leading Swiss fabric manufacturer Christian Fischbacher and Italian furniture manufacturer Emmebi.
