Zomorrodi & Associates is a global, multi-disciplinary architectural and design consultancy with offices in Dubai and Tehran. Headed by its founder Shahrooz Zomorrodi, the studio has a varied portfolio and primarily serves the residential, commercial, retail and hospitality sectors.
The studio’s projects are regularly featured in leading design publications – including the prestigious Italian magazine Domus, as well as Commercial Interior Design, Design Middle East and Love that Design, among others.
Beyond featuring regularly in the regional and international media, The practice has also bagged an impressive number of awards for its architectural and interior projects.
Awards include: Commercial Interior Design Awards, 2022; IDA Design Awards, 2021; London International Creative Competition LICC 2020; SIT Furniture Design Awards 2020; The Architecture Masterprize 2019; IDAAPDC Design Excellence Awards 2018; IDA Design Awards, 2017.

Shahrooz Zomorrodi
CEO & Founder
Architect
Shahrooz Zomorrodi is the CEO of Zomorrodi & Associates, which he founded in 2006.
Famed for his larger-than-life designs, architect and civil engineer Zomorrodi was born to a prominent building contractor in Iran and was educated in Tehran.
Zomorrodi approaches each project with the aim of creating unique, magical or surrealistic places. He particularly enjoys designing public spaces and most of his projects contain an element of exaggeration and architectural surprise, creating fascination and inviting people to explore the places he creates. His ultimate aim is to create spaces that are seemingly impossible – which appear to challenge the basic laws of physics.
In addition to heading up Zomorrodi & Associates, Zomorrodi is also a partner and creative director of the expanding DecoZ Studio.
